Manila, Philippines - Starting May 16, Metro Manila will enter a new phase of Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ), the MODIFIED Enhanced Community Quarantine.
I saw an article from Inquirer about Businesses allowed to resume operations in MECQ areas by Krissy Aguilar. I felt great because little by little economic activity is returning. That's good news, right? So going back to the article, there is a long list of businesses that can operate in areas under MECQ. And short list of business NOT allowed to resume operations in MECQ.
The following business are not allowed to resume operations in areas under MECQ:
For now, let's just embrace our long hairs. #LongHair mode muna tayo *wink wink*.

You can download Karaoke Apps if you feel like belting out your emotions towards this MECQ. *through the fire, through the limit....*
8. Amusement Park
As unfortunate as it is, I think, 2020 is not the year for amusement parks. Let's just amuse ourselves with the things we can find in our home. Maybe, it's time to play with the Scrabble you had for years, or check if you can still play the Solitaire (Google offers a free Solitaire game). *or whatever ha ha ha*
A library is a place of solitude. This is the place where you can sleep, I mean read peacefully. Check your reading list and find the eBook on Amazon. Or maybe, you have that book in your closet, having a party with the spider webs. *wink wink*
10. Museums/Cultural Centers
Studio Ghibli recently released some of its animated films on Netflix. Recently, they uploaded a virtual tour video on their YouTube channel. You can also check the Louvre of France Virtual Tour here.

This is the time where portable swimming pool comes handy! If you're planning to have one, you can check Shopee, Lazada, or Facebook Marketplace. *ready your butterfly swimming technique*
Summer is not "summer" if you can't visit the Philippines beaches. Just kidding! If you have photos of Philippines beaches, maybe this is the time to upload it and share with the world how great the Philippines beaches are. *wiiii wiii*
13. Travel Agencies/Tour/Reservation Services
So I said, "Just hang on Bucket List, we will get there". Don't worry, I know soon, we will visit the places we want to visit. For now, let's update our Bucket Lists, or maybe it's time to make one. Check the template here.
14. Massage Parlor/Sauna
We don't have problem with Saunas, we are in a big Sauna. With a 40 degrees celsius heat index, yup, we are in a Sauna. Not complaining, just sayin'. Ha ha ha. As for Massage Parlor, maybe it's time to ask for a massage from our husband or kids :p
15. Facial Care/Waxing
It's a good thing that there are so many facial care videos out there. You can check this video about DIY Body Scrubs.
Let's all pray that after MECQ we can gracefully transition to GCQ, then to Modified GCQ, then to our NEW NORMAL. What do you expect on our NEW NORMAL? Share your thoughts.
